We are Chad & Rebecca Hansen, and we run First Mate! Chad is the principal photographer, editor, and in charge of all things nerdy, while Rebecca works mainly behind the scenes cooking up shoots and projects, networking, and taking care of our 2 crazy kids. We are Cape Cod residents, parents, adventure companions, best friends, and we are each others first mate. It's a lot, but we feel incredibly fortunate for the life that we have, the family that we have, and the job that allows us to get to know so many lovely people.

We understand what an important task we have--to tell YOUR story in a way that is sincere, genuine, and authentic. We have to create work with meaning behind it, not just pretty pictures. If we fail to do that, what’s the point?
